Rice
Rice is a very effective carbohydrate and doesn’t have gluten in it, which means it’s very easy to digest. Rice is excellent energy food.
M you had vegetables and rice in the evening you would find you would have a reserve of energy to call on the next morning. True! The carbohydrates will have broken down and been stored m your muscle cells as glycogen, and this is the fuel you need to function.
Tofu
Miso and tempeh (fermented tofu) is a way of obtaining essential nutrients that meat also contains. Yet it is good for you. Far better than that red meat! And delicious!
Oil
We’re meant to ingest natural fats. And nuts and avocado contain natural forms of fat. But the best oils are grape seed oil and olive oil.
Poly-unsaturated products are not worth the fuss. Poly-unsaturated margarine is no less fattening than butter. (But I avoid butter products. When I have a sandwich, I put avocado straight on the bread. Then I add salad. It tastes beautiful.)
